The
Douglas County Fair will soon be here. It is now time to
make reservations for the commercial booths. Due to some
changes in the exhibits at the fair, the Fair Board will
no longer be offering inside booths. There will only be
outside booths.
Enclosed
you will find a copy of the Vendors Reservation and
a list of the Rules for Operation. Please note that all
vendors must provide a certificate of insurance with
the reservation. The insurance must show proof of liability
with the Douglas County Fair Board as co-insured in the
amount of $500,000.
Complete
your reservation form and return it with the rental fee
and proof of insurance to:

It
must also be noted that anyone having a food concession
at the fair will not be allowed to serve any food or drink
items that are served by the Douglas County 4-H Council
Concession stand. Theseitems are: hamburgers, cheeseburgers,
hotdogs, walking tacos, and taco salad

RULES FOR OPERATION
OF BOOTHS
1. Exhibitor’s booths shall be operated no later
than 11 p.m. during the fair. Booths inside Bldg 21 must
close at 10 p.m. when the building closes.
2. All
outdoor booths must be in place by 5 p.m., Monday, August
3. Inside booths must be in place by 3 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 4.
3. Exhibitor
agrees to: a.) Provide all needed materials for construction
of booths.
b.) may not construct anything in a permanent manner,
c.) leave grounds in the same physical conditions as
when received.
4. Exhibitors
must have a representative in their booth from 5 p.m. to
10 p.m. each “fair day”,
except Sunday, August 9th.
5. Exhibitor
agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Fair Board, Douglas
County Commissioners, and their agents and employees, from
and against all claims, damages, losses and expenses, (including
reasonable attorney fees, to the extent allowed by law)
arising out of the use and rental of Douglas County Fair
Ground facilities, which is 1) bodily injury, illness,
or death, or for property damage, and including the loss
of use, and 2) caused in who or in part by our negligent
act or omission.
6. ALL
BOOTH RENT MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT THE TIME THIS AGREEMENT
IS SIGNED. SPACES ARE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST
SERVE BASIS.
7. Exhibitor
cannot sublease space. - There will be no refund of rent,
unless the fair is not held or the Fair Board cannot provide
the booth space. The exhibitor’s
rent shall be refunded and this agreement shall be released
from liability and further obligation thereunder.
8. Booth
spaces measure 10 X 10 feet. If more is needed for a truck
or trailer, plan on renting more than one space. Any booth
over the 10 X 10 feet space will be charged $20.00 for
every 1 X 10 feet over the allowance. NO EXCEPTIONS.
9. No
generators permitted.

Commercial exhibitors parking lot will be provided: however,
if RV’s and/or camper
facilities are needed, please advise (space limited).
11.
Extension cords must be minimum size of 12-2 with a ground.
Extension cannot exceed 50 feet in length. Only one extension
cord per electrical fee will be allowed. The fee is $15
for each cord of a 20 amp. 110 volt, or $50 for each cord
of a 50 amp. 220 volt hookup.
12.
Vendors needing electrical hook-ups must be in compliance
with the National Electric Code for recreational vehicles.
13.
Fair Board and/or local law enforcement officials have
the right to ban the sale of any item or items at their
discretion.
14.
ABSOLUTELY NO TABLES AND/OR CHAIRS WILL BE FURNISHED. YOU
MUST BRING YOUR OWN.
15.
NEW REQUIREMENT: All vendors must turn in a certificate
